Caught my best friend kissing my fiancé IN OUR HOUSE, just hours before our wedding vows!

My wedding day was supposed to be the happiest day of my life.

I woke up feeling a mix of nerves and pure, unadulterated joy.

Mark, my fiancé, was everything I ever wanted: kind, steady, and full of laughter.

Sarah, my best friend since kindergarten, was supposed to be right there by my side as my maid of honor.

We’d all been a tight trio for years, an inseparable bond I cherished more than anything.

The morning was a blur of hairspray, makeup, and a little too much champagne with my bridesmaids.

My dress hung waiting, a beautiful ivory dream that took months to find.

Just before we were about to leave for the venue, a sudden, urgent thought struck me.

I’d forgotten my grandmother’s antique locket, my “something old,” on my dresser at home.

It was sentimental, and I couldn't walk down the aisle without it.

I quickly told Sarah and the others I’d make a quick dash back to the house; it was only five minutes away.

They protested, urging me to send someone else, but I insisted it would be faster if I just went.

The short drive felt endless, my heart fluttering with anticipation for the day ahead.

I imagined Mark waiting for me at the altar, his eyes full of love.

Pulling into the driveway, I noticed Mark’s car was still there, which was odd.

He was supposed to be at the venue already, getting ready with his groomsmen.

A pang of slight irritation pricked me; he knew how important punctuality was to me, especially today.

I quietly let myself in, planning to grab the locket and playfully scold him for being late.

The house was eerily silent, not the excited bustle I’d expected.

I walked towards the bedroom, calling out his name softly, "Mark? You here, babe?"

No answer came, only the faint murmur of hushed voices from the living room.

A knot tightened in my stomach; something felt terribly wrong.

I tiptoed closer, a strange, cold dread seeping into my wedding heels.

Then I heard Sarah's unmistakable laugh, low and intimate.

My heart hammered against my ribs, a frantic, desperate bird trapped inside.

I pushed the living room door open just enough to peer inside.

The sight that greeted me froze the blood in my veins.

There, on our sofa, the one we’d picked out together, were Mark and Sarah.

They were in each other’s arms, locked in a deep, passionate kiss.

Her hands were tangled in his hair, his hand cradling her face.

It wasn't a quick peck; it was lingering, possessive, horrifyingly intimate.

My vision blurred, the pristine white of my dress suddenly feeling like a cruel joke.

A gasp tore from my throat, raw and involuntary.

They broke apart instantly, their heads snapping towards me like deer caught in headlights.

Mark’s face was a mask of shock, then guilt, his eyes wide with horror.

Sarah looked pale, her lips still swollen from his kiss, her expression a mix of terror and shame.
